A Bleach live-journal community thinks that Richard Simmons' (son of Gene Simmons) comic Incarnate plagiarizes Tite Kibo's original manga.
And they have a pretty strong case. It looks like it's more than just a case of really bad fanfic and almost ripping off character designs wholesale- it seems clear that Richard traced some Kibo's original art. _________________ "Matter flows from place to place, and momentarily becomes you. Man, if you're gonna rip something off, pick something a little less well known. _________________ Ben in real life |

LOL where did I get Richard? I guess I was thinking about how he was a "useless dick" and some wires got crossed. _________________ "Matter flows from place to place, and momentarily becomes you. I saw this on another blog and wrote this:
How crappy! I've seen this many times before. But one thing I think needs to really be stressed, in my opinion, is that amateur artists should not have their first series be a professional deal. They need to work their way up the self-publishing ladder until they are ready for a professional series.
I'll use me as and example. If I had the shot at making manga 5 or 6 years ago it would have totally been a rip off of Urusei Yatsura or Akira. I even remember redesigning my main character to have the same hair color as Lum! How stupid! But after years of drawing my own things and so on, that series looks nothing like the anime that influenced me.
So is it plagarism from ill-will or ill-experience? _________________ "Beat your best time, and steal your shoes from you..."
